Survey Results

In total a third of Loscoe Dam residents took the time to complete the Loscoe Dam Community survey. Please find below a selection of headline results from the questionnaire:-

• 39% of respondents visit Loscoe Dam at least once a week.
• Walking is the most popular activity for visitors to Loscoe Dam, followed by experiencing nature and relaxing.
• Just over half of local residents are satisfied or dissatisfied with Loscoe Dam’s general appearance.
• Only 10.5% of Loscoe residents are happy with the current visitor experience at Loscoe Dam.
• We asked residents, Fishing Club members and on site visitors what would encourage them to spend more time at Loscoe Dam - the graph below shows that a new walking route round the lake was most popular with residents.

• 34.28% of respondents don’t visit Loscoe Dam because it is an unattractive/poor environment, while 27% are concerned by anti-social behaviour and vandalism.
• 57.89% of local residents who responded to the survey believe that protecting the site’s heritage is a high priority.
